What Lattice does
Lattice brings together several HR workflows that often live in separate solutions: performance reviews, 1:1 tracking, goal-setting (OKRs), engagement surveys, compensation reviews, and career development. Managers and employees interact with it regularly rather than only at annual review time, with daily touchpoints like updates, feedback, and check-ins built into the product.
An AI agent sits across the platform and is designed to answer employee questions about policies or career growth, surface insights from people data, and reduce the manual work involved in summarising reviews. Lattice also recently introduced an MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration that lets users interact with Lattice data from within ChatGPT, Claude, and Slack, meaning HR information can be accessed without switching into the platform itself.
The platform connects with solutions many teams already use — Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Workday, and Salesforce — so people data can flow between systems rather than being entered twice. Implementation is estimated at four to eight weeks, which is typical for a platform of this scope but worth factoring into planning.
Key capabilities
Performance Reviews and Feedback
Structured review cycles, talent reviews, PIPs, and succession planning are built in, alongside continuous feedback and 1:1 tooling for managers and their direct reports.
Goal and OKR Tracking
Teams can set goals, track progress over time, and align individual work to company priorities — available as a standalone module or bundled with other features.
Engagement Surveys
Survey tooling includes AI-powered analysis to help HR teams interpret results and identify trends without manually sifting through all responses.
AI Agent for HR Tasks
The AI agent can answer employee questions about policies and career growth, proactively surface insights, and support managers and leaders without requiring HR to be the intermediary for every query.
Compensation Review Management
A dedicated compensation module helps HR teams run structured pay reviews and align compensation decisions to budget, available as an add-on.
Career Development Tracking
The Grow module is designed to make career progression paths visible to employees and managers, supporting development conversations with structured data.
Best for
- HR teams that currently manage performance, engagement, and goals across multiple disconnected solutions and want to consolidate them
- Companies with 50+ employees where manager-to-employee feedback cycles are becoming hard to coordinate manually
- Organisations already using Workday, Slack, or Microsoft Teams that want HR data to connect with their existing stack
- Businesses that run regular engagement surveys and want AI-assisted analysis rather than manual spreadsheet work
- Teams prioritising continuous performance habits — regular check-ins, updates, and feedback — rather than annual-only review cycles
Worth knowing
- Pricing starts at a $4,000 annual minimum and is billed annually, which may be a poor fit for very small teams or organisations with tight, short-term budgets
- Modules are priced separately — performance, engagement, and goals each carry their own per-seat cost, so the total can rise quickly if you need the full feature set
- Implementation is estimated at four to eight weeks; teams without dedicated HR or project resources to lead the rollout may find this stretch challenging
- If your organisation only needs one narrow function — such as a basic survey solution or a lightweight goal tracker — a simpler, lower-cost point solution may be more proportionate
- The AI features, including the agent and review summaries, are part of an evolving product roadmap; teams evaluating these specifically should verify current capability depth before committing
