What Tettra does
Tettra is an internal knowledge base built around reducing the time your team spends answering the same questions over and over. You bring in content from Google Docs, PDFs, Notion, local files, or write new pages directly in Tettra's editor, and the solution organises it into a searchable knowledge base your whole company can use.
The centrepiece is an AI assistant called Kai. When a teammate asks a question — either inside Tettra or via Slack — Kai searches your existing content and returns an answer immediately. If it can't find one, it routes the question to the right person rather than leaving it unanswered.
Beyond answering questions, Tettra includes solutions for keeping content accurate over time: subject-matter experts can be prompted to verify pages on a schedule, teammates can suggest edits, and the system helps surface knowledge gaps. It integrates with Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Zapier.
Key capabilities
AI Question Answering (Kai)
Kai reads your knowledge base and responds to questions in Tettra or Slack instantly. When it can't find a match, it identifies the right person to ask instead of leaving the question open.
Flexible Content Import
You can build your knowledge base from content you already have — Google Docs, Notion pages, PDFs, or local files — without starting from scratch.
Slack and Teams Integration
Kai connects directly to Slack channels and direct messages, so teammates get answers where they already work rather than having to switch solutions.
AI Page Tagging and FAQ Generation
Tettra uses AI to tag pages automatically and generate FAQs, reducing the manual effort needed to organise and surface the right content.
Content Accuracy Management
Subject-matter experts can be assigned to verify important pages on a regular basis, and teammates can submit suggested edits, helping keep the knowledge base trustworthy over time.
Best for
- Teams that handle a high volume of repeated internal questions, particularly through Slack
- Support and customer-facing teams that need agents to find accurate answers quickly
- Growing companies where institutional knowledge is scattered across Google Docs, PDFs, and individual people's heads
- Agencies or operations teams that need consistent, accessible process documentation
- Organisations already using Slack, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Teams as their primary communication solutions
Worth knowing
- Pricing starts at a 10-user minimum on the Scaling plan ($8/user/month billed yearly, $10 monthly), so very small teams will pay for seats they may not fill
- The solution's AI answering is only as useful as the content you put in — if your documentation is sparse or outdated, Kai won't perform well out of the box
- Slack is central to how Kai delivers answers; teams not using Slack or Teams may get less value from the AI assistant feature
- Enterprise pricing is custom and not published, so larger organisations will need a separate conversation to understand total cost
- If your primary need is project management, workflow automation, or document collaboration rather than knowledge retrieval, a different category of solution is likely a better fit
