What Seventh Sense does
Seventh Sense sits on top of your existing HubSpot or Marketo account and uses AI to decide when each individual contact should receive an email, based on their own historical engagement patterns. Instead of sending a campaign to your entire list at once, it spreads delivery across a window of time so each person gets the message at their personal peak attention hour. The model retrains daily, so it adjusts as people's habits change.
Beyond send-time, the platform handles several related problems that tend to grow alongside email list size. It can automatically pause sends to contacts whose predicted engagement has dropped below a threshold you set, protecting your domain reputation without requiring manual list scrubs. A separate orchestration layer lets you define frequency caps, blackout windows, and priority rules that apply across every campaign simultaneously, so the same contact doesn't receive three emails in one day from three different programs.
The analytics side surfaces per-inbox-provider performance data — how your emails perform with Gmail users versus Office 365 users, for example — which neither HubSpot nor Marketo report on natively. A recommendations feature, currently in beta, draws on the platform's email data history to suggest specific actions for your program.
Key capabilities
Per-person send-time optimization
The AI learns each contact's day-of-week and time-of-day engagement patterns from their full history and triggers delivery at their individual optimal window. This applies across batch campaigns, nurtures, and triggered flows.
Audience recycling and suppression
You set an engagement-probability threshold and the AI automatically holds back contacts who fall below it, then reintroduces them when their predicted engagement recovers. This runs in the background without requiring separate re-engagement campaigns.
Cross-campaign orchestration
A single rule layer enforces per-person daily and weekly frequency caps, blackout windows, and priority lanes across all your running programs. This prevents the same contact from being hit by multiple campaigns on the same day.
Inbox-provider performance reporting
The platform breaks down delivery rates, open rates, click rates, and bounce rates by inbox provider — Gmail, Google Workspace, Office 365, Yahoo, and others — giving visibility that HubSpot and Marketo don't include natively.
Deep HubSpot and Marketo integration
Seventh Sense works as native workflow steps and flow steps inside each platform rather than as a separate tool to manage separately. Setup is described as five minutes for HubSpot and twelve minutes for Marketo, with initial insights available within 24 hours.
Best for
- Marketing operations teams running email programs on HubSpot or Marketo who are seeing engagement plateau or deliverability problems without a clear cause
- Teams with large or fast-growing lists where sending to non-engaged contacts is starting to affect domain and IP reputation
- Organizations running multiple concurrent email programs — nurtures, batch campaigns, triggered flows — where frequency management is done manually in spreadsheets
- Marketing teams that need to show leadership how email contributes to pipeline, not just report opens and clicks
- Companies that want to add send-time personalization without rebuilding their existing HubSpot or Marketo programs
Worth knowing
- This tool only integrates with HubSpot and Marketo. If your marketing automation platform is anything else — Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, or others — Seventh Sense is not compatible.
- Pricing is per contact: the Business plan is about $400 per month at 25,000 contacts and scales with list size, with custom Enterprise pricing from 150,000 contacts. For smaller teams with modest list sizes or low email volume, the cost-to-benefit ratio is worth comparing against the scale of your program.
- The AI's send-time predictions rely on historical engagement data in your HubSpot or Marketo account. Newer accounts or lists with limited engagement history will have less signal to train on initially.
- Implementation is estimated at one to two weeks, which is low relative to most marketing tools, but there is still a setup and configuration phase before the AI has enough data to produce reliable predictions.
- The recommendations feature is currently in beta, so teams evaluating the platform for that capability specifically should treat it as a developing rather than fully released feature.
